CALL FOR EXPERTS

We are searching for experts to join the Expert Panel of the renewed European Union Blockchain Observatory and Forum - let us know if you would like to contribute to the efforts to strengthen the European blockchain ecosystem.

The European Union Blockchain Observatory and Forum has been developed with the aim to accelerate blockchain innovation and the development of the blockchain ecosystem within the EU, and so help strengthen Europe’s position as a global leader in this transformative new technology. The involvement of experts is a crucial part of our aspirations and strategy for this project, thus we invite you to contact us if you are interested in contributing with your expertise.

Are you interested in joining the Expert Panel of the renewed European Blockchain Observatory and Forum?

Fill out this application form in order to apply as a potential member of our expert panel. In the form, you will be asked to include the following: position, organisation/affiliation, interest focus, most relevant experience and possibly a CV, the main country of your blockchain activities and your contact data.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CALL FOR EXPERTS WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL THE 30TH OFJUNE 2021!

The first edition of the Observatory gathered a cross-cutting group of experts and in its renewal we want to maintain this tradition. This time we invite experts not only from Europe, but also from other continents and regions in order to foster transnational exchange and learn lessons from each other.

We look for experts who represent high-level of knowledge and expertise on diverse subjects related to the blockchain ecosystem such as (but not limited to):

  • transaction capacities, validation protocols, smart contracts, decentralised storage;
  • cybersecurity and cryptography development;
  • interoperability and standardisation;
  • scalability and integration with legacy systems;
  • organisational and governance aspects of blockchain;
  • tokenisation;
  • regulatory and legal aspects;
  • data protection and data management

We strongly encourage those involved in cross-sectoral applications of blockchain in domains such as finance, Internet of Things, digital identity, energy, transport, healthcare, education and others. The overarching aim is to develop strategies to facilitate the European blockchain industry’s quest to become a global leader in this field in the most complex and overarching manner in order to leverage the potential of blockchain solutions in diverse sectors.

We want to ensure the diversity of expertise, background and geographical location of our experts, thus those who expressed their willingness to join the Expert Panel will undergo a selection process. The activities that experts can contribute to include thematic and trend reports, identifying issues that need to be tackled and regular discussions on the advancements in the current blockchain ecosystem, dedicated mailing list, and others. Such an engagement is planned for an initial, renewable period of one year on a voluntary basis.
