Updates

Following up our announcement on the INATBA's and EUBOF's Public MiCA Task Force initiative, led by INATBA's Finance Working Group. Thanks to the significant interest raised, we are excited to be moving into the next stage, collecting feedback via a survey that is linked on the task force home page.

The results of this survey will be analysed and brought to the European  Commission, Parliament and member states, using INATBA's platform to make an impact. Together we will help protect the future of crypto-assets in Europe and internationally!

Workshops – Stay tuned for updates!

MiCA sets out to establis legal certainty, support innovation, increase consumer and investor protection, ensure financial stability and support innovation across a broad definition of the crypto-assets, crypto-asset providers and crypto-assets services market.

Our next workshop focused on the “Markets on Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation”, will take place on the 19th of January 2021 at 14.00 CET. The event will bring together academics, policy regulators and the industry, to discuss what is the future of crypto assets in Europe and beyond. Previous events

Our workshop on “Use of blockchain technologies in the agri-food sector” took place on the 23rd of November. With more than 200 participants, the workshop brought together experts in blockchain technologies with actors along the agri-food supply chain to discuss how to further exploit the potential of blockchain technologies in the agri-food sector. Check out the recording of the event session on our YouTube channel, as well as the event presentations.

Publications

  • Our next Trends’ report and our second thematic report focused on Central Bank Digital Currencies are both expected to be published in the end of January 2021.
  • By the end of February 2021, the next thematic report focusing on Blockchain Energy Efficiency will also be published.

 

EUBOF2.0 Expert Panel: list of experts to be announced next week

All members of the Expert Panel of the European Blockchain Observatory have been selected and will be announced next week. We received hundreds of applications from around the world and selected over 90 high-level experts with diverse perspectives in order to strengthen the Observatory in its research work, and effectively, the European blockchain ecosystem. Experts will participate in reports, workshops, overall trend monitoring and other activities. Applications are received on a rolling basis and evaluated every two months, so those who wish to join the Expert Panel can do so by filling the online form.

 

Forum

Inputs from the community have a major role in shaping these publications. Conversations are happening every day between the members of the eublockchain.mobilize.io community.
