SAVE THE DATE: Proof of Concept Results and Blockathon Forum Assembly, 31 May 2023

The EUIPO is getting closer to ensuring product authenticity by creating a new ecosystem in which all parties have a common stake and an immutable bond in the blockchain.

Together with IP rights holders, customs authorities and transport and logistic operators we have successfully demonstrated the anti-counterfeiting blockathon infrastructure viability using multiple products journeys. This exercise involved all parties in tracking and validating product authenticity and provenance, from foreign manufacturing sites down to EU-based local distribution centres.

It is now time to unveil these results publicly during a hybrid event hosted by the EUIPO on 31 May in Alicante, gathering all interested parties and the Blockathon Forum members.
